J&K Judicial Academy Concludes Two-Week Training Programme for Ladakh Legal Assistants

Jammu, Dec 12 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Judicial Academy on Friday concluded a two-week training programme for Legal Assistants of the Union Territory of Ladakh at its campus in Janipur, Jammu. The programme was held from December 1 to December 12 under the patronage of Chief Justice Arun Palli.

The valedictory session was attended by Justice Rajnesh Oswal, Judge of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh and Chairperson of the Academy’s Governing Committee, whose presence added significance to the occasion.

During the programme, participants received training in a wide range of legal and administrative subjects, including the constitutional framework, UT governance, land laws, vigilance mechanisms, RTI, CCS Rules, provisions of BNSS and BNS applicable to public servants, drafting skills, tendering and e-procurement procedures, GFR rules, contract law, and drafting of government notifications and orders. The sessions were conducted by eminent jurists, senior advocates, academicians, former judges, and subject experts, who shared practical insights through interactive teaching methods.

Addressing the participants, Justice Rajnesh Oswal emphasised that honesty, dedication, and punctuality are the core values of every public servant and form the foundation of efficient and accountable administration. He appreciated the Academy for designing a comprehensive and practice-oriented training module and encouraged participants to apply their learning to improve institutional efficiency in Ladakh. Certificates were distributed to all participants during the session.

Director of the J&K Judicial Academy, Naseer Ahmad Dar, thanked the resource persons and participants for their active involvement and reiterated the Academy’s commitment to meeting the training needs of various institutions and departments of the Union Territory of Ladakh.(KNS)
