Srinagar, Oct 25 (KNS): J&K Bank account holders have expressed serious concern over the rumor about banks merger with outside financial institutions. However bank officials maintained that there is no such proposal and assured account holders to continue their inveterate faith on this prestigious financial institution.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), after the nullification of rumor about J&K Bank’s merger with some outside bank by Governor S P Malik, account holders of J&K Bank have expressed their concern about its future.

Several accountholders while talking to KNS said that, we are more apprehensive about the proposal of merger.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThey said our deposit or investment in the bank seems unsafe after New Delhi snatched special status of Jammu and Kashmir.

However, bank officials while talking to Kashmir News Services (KNS), assured account holders not to be panic. They termed the bank as ‘people’s bank’ and said there are some elements who are anti-J&K Bank are involved in spreading rumors.

They added what is spreading about the merger of J&K Bank is all baseless and full of lies. (KNS)
