J&K Bank facilitates swift settlement of insurance claims worth Rs 2.02 Cr, provides relief to 38 bereaved families

Srinagar, Jan 05 (KNS): In a significant gesture of support to bereaved families during moments of profound personal loss, J&K Bank has facilitated the expeditious settlement of insurance claims amounting to Rs 2.02 crore under its MetLoan & Life Suraksha (MLLS) scheme. The settlement has benefitted 38 families of deceased borrowers across various branches in the Kathua Zone, providing timely financial relief and easing the burden during their difficult circumstances.

The symbolic cheque representing the total claim amount was displayed by the Bank’s Zonal Head (Kathua) Suresh Kumar Chowdhary along with PNB MetLife’s Associate Director & Head Irfan Ali Zargar in presence of Cluster Head (Kathua) Parshotam Kumar, Cluster Head (Mohali) Vishal Pandhoh and Cluster Head (Samba) Virender Pal Singh Jasrotia. The occasion was also attended by Branch Heads, Managers (Advances), Zonal Insurance Coordinator Harbans Lal, and officials from PNB MetLife, including the Regional Manager and Senior Territory Manager.

The nominees and legal heirs who received the insurance benefits expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Bank and its insurance partner for the timely and seamless settlement of claims. One of the beneficiaries remarked, “We are thankful to the Bank for ensuring that the loans were insured and for facilitating the prompt settlement of claims. Speaking on the occasion, Zonal Head (Kathua) Suresh Kumar Chowdhary underscored the importance of loan-linked insurance in safeguarding families against unforeseen adversities. “In times of distress, it is our responsibility to stand by our customers and their families.
