Srinagar, Dec 9 (KNS): Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Jammu & Kashmir Bank R K Chhibber today assured completely fair selection in the ongoing recruitment of J&K bank officers and appealed the candidates not to fall prey to fraudsters who claim to influence the recruitment process.

“We have all systems in place for the recruitment process. Candidates should focus on their preparation and how to perform well in exam. Don’t fall prey to middlemen who claim to influence the process of recruitment. I assure the candidates that everything will be done in fair and transparent manner.” he told KNS in an exclusive chat.

Regarding the current financial health of J&K BanK, CMD said, “In September 2019, J&K bank had Rs 894 cr losses and this half-year in September we recorded a net profit Of Rs 50.43cr. Our fundamentals are strong. Our share value is improving and gone up besides growth in business numbers.”

He also revealed that J&K bank has financed around 14000 young entrepreneurs during the recently concluded UT Government’s B2V3 program. “We have made beneficiary formalities simple. I give this credit to staff,” he told KNS.

CMD Chhibber also appealed to the young aspiring entrepreneurs to avail the loan facilities offered by J&K Bank for their entrepreneurial journey, saying that in every office, the bank has designated a nodal officer to guide and facilitate aspiring entrepreneurs especially women entrepreneurs.

“Those who want to do business can visit any J&K bank branch. We are ready to finance”, he said. (KNS)
