Poonch, Oct 31 (KNS): Provincial President Youth National Conference Jammu and former MLA Ajaz Jan has expressed solidarity with the fire-sufferers of a village in Panchayat Chamber Datigala and sought their immediate rehabilitation, especially in the wake of ensuing winter.
Jan visited the affected families and took stock of the damages caused to the houses due to fire and expressed his sympathy with the sufferers. He lamented over the administrative apathy, saying despite colossal damages caused to the property, administration was yet to reach out to the fire-victims and provide them interim relief.
He sought free rations and interim relief for the fire-sufferers till survey is conducted by the concerned agency so that the cases of compensation are processed.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe said the poor people have been rendered roofless during these cold days and the government should provide some succor to them.
Jan also expressed anguish and concern over continued shelling, saying the villages along Line of Control have suffered immensely. He said the fear psychosis and security threat has forced many to shift to safer areas, as a result of which they were facing lot many difficulties.
The Youth National Conference Provincial President was accompanied by Abdul Ahad Bhatt, Block President besides Abdul Jabar Tantary, Abdul Raza, Ch Saleem Khari, Manzoor Mire, Ajaz Lone, Haji Afzal, Bashir Lone and others. (KNS)
