Poonch, Jul 26 (KNS): Expressing concern over attempts being made to create communal tension in Poonch and other parts of the district, Provincial Youth National Conference has demanded stern action against those involved in pasting communally charged posters two days ago.
Provincial President Youth NC, Ajaz Jan, said that Poonch is known for communal harmony and any attempt of vitiating this atmosphere would be foiled and frustrated unitedly.
“Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs have been living here in harmony and this spirit has to be maintained at all costs”, he said, adding this atmosphere will not be allowed to get initiated by vested interests.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
While referring to communally charged posters appearing in the Poonch town two days back, Jan said that some communal elements are trying to create gap between various sections of society in a bid to trigger discord but they are destined to fail.
"Pasting of such posters should also be taken as a failure of the intelligence agencies that is all the more deplorable,” he said and called for strengthening the intelligence grid.
Jan called upon the civil and police administration to book the culprits and take stern action against them. (KNS)
