Poonch, Jun 11 (KNS): Terming recently held District Development Board (DDB) meeting of Poonch as an eye wash, National Conference today said that there is lack of decision making spirit among boards constituted in present government.
While addressing a party workers meeting at Poonch, Youth NC Provincial President Ajaz Jan said that recently held DDB meeting at Poonch was a topic for debate among the people who were expecting several important decision in meeting especially when a new minister was given command of board who was going to chair his maiden meet.
“Things ended on a normal note after meeting as no important decision was taken and people are expressing their dis-satisfaction over it now” Jan said.
He termed DDB funding as inadequate alleging government for pushing boards on defunct side whole also said that board in present government lack decision making spirit.
Jan said that upgradition of road network, tackling problems erupting due to water scarcity should have been priority of board meeting in Poonch but unfortunately priority remained discussion only with no conclusion.
He said that a number of areas of Poonch Mandi and Poonch are under water crisis with people facing immense hardships due to it while irregular ration supply by Government is further swelling problem of people.
Jan also asked Health Minister of Jammu and Kashmir state to go through the vacany position of staff in health institutions of Poonch and to take steps to mitigate the sufferings instead of acting as mute spectator.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He also said that contractors of PWD and Irrigation and Flood Control Department are waiting for their payments since years of this government and concerned ministeries are least bothered.
NC also endorsed the genuine demand of SSA teachers and asked Government to solve their issues and problems.
Earlier in the meeting, National Conference workers from across the Poonch highlighted the ground level situation accusing government to have failed to solve basic issues of masses.
