Jammu, Feb 07 (KNS): Youth National Conference here has called for immediate financial assistance to people affected from wind storm that hit area of Jammu province two days back saying that present coalition government should learn lesson from active approach of previous government wherein than Chief Minister Omar Abdullah himself uses to visit the affected areas.
In a statement issued to KNS, Youth National Conference Provincial President Ajaz Jan said that due to windstorm several structures got moderately to severely damage in different districts of Jammu province including Pir Panjal region and Chenab valley.
“More than one and a half dozen houses and some schools got damaged in Thanamandi area alone of Rajouri district while number of structures damaged in Poonch district also in several dozen” Jan said saying that several families are now homeless due to damage of structures while students in several affected schools will now have to sit under open sky.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“Provide financial and infrastructural aid to the affected families at the earliest” Jan demanded.
Hitting hard on present government, Jan said that government should form special teams of cabinet ministers and officers for on spot visit and accessing damage. (KNS)
