Jan anguished over holding of exams in shelling hit LoC areas

‘Coalition Govt least bothered about safety of people’

Poonch, Nov 08 (KNS): Youth National Conference (NC) on Tuesday expressed surprise over the decision of PDP-BJP government to conduct examination in the forward areas along Line of Control, despite continuous shelling from across the border.
“At a time, when people are running for their lives and several precious lives already perished in the shelling, the government is putting in danger the lives of young students, YNC Provincial President, Ajaz Jan said in a statement issued to KNS.
He took strong exception to the government decision and assailed the education department for holding 8thclass examination in Saujiyan on Sunday when the entire belt was reverberating with shells and firing.
He said the coalition government has lost sense of proportion and was least bothered about the safety of people, especially young ones, whom they have already abandoned.
Jan described the border situation quite alarming and grim with almost all the villages along Line of Control under direct target of shelling and in such a situation even thinking of holding examinations raises many questions.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“The government must take pity on young children,” he maintained.
The YNC Provincial President sought immediate postponement of the examinations and instead endevaour for making the life of border dwellers comfortable in make-shift accommodations. “These people are sufferings and the government is trying to show normalcy by holding examination,” he added.
