Srinagar December 08 (KNS): Jammu Kashmir Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) has condoled the death of Adv.Abdul Majid Rather a legal luminary of repute, a noble and pious soul. President EJAC and Chairman JK Teachers Forum Mohd Rafique Rather, has expressed deep shock on the sad and sudden demise of Adv Majid Rather and called it an unbearable loss to family, society and legal fraternity. He said that Baramulla has lost a promising lawer, a noble and down to earth soul and a thorough gentleman who has contributed largely in helping and providing justice to oppressed and depressed class of the society. Rather said that his association with deceased was vry long spread on almost three decades which was based on mutual respect, love and affection for each other. Rather said that he is personally shell shocked and speechless and feeling short of words to describe the deceased soul who was of great help to him and a moral support aswell and added that he has lost a caring and an affectionate brother like friend which has left him devastated.
Rafique Rather while recalling the contribution of Rather family in almost every field of life said that father of the deceased, Late Gh Qadir Rather was a renowned trade union leader who founded Jammu Kashmir Ladakh teachers Association and worked tirelessly for the betterment of education system and for the welfare of teaching community and added that he would always consult him in getting advise during his tenure as as DP jktf Baramulla. Rafique Rather said that the Rather family has produced scholars, Educationists, legal luminaries, Social and political activists of repute and has contributed largely in the betterment of society in general.

He said that the death of Advocate Abdul Majeed has caused a deep vacum in the lawyers fraternity and the legal institutions of Baramulla in particular.
Expressing sympatheies with bereaved family Rather said that "although it is personal loss to me and my family but i still equally share the grief of bereaved family and stand by them at this crucial time"
He said that whole employees fraternity and leadership of EJAC and Teachers Forum of Jammu and Kashmir is equally grieved and extend condolences and solidarity to bereaved family in particular to President Bar Association Baramulla, a renowned lawer and a politician Adv Ab. Salam Rather, Farooq Ahmad Rather, Abid Salam Rather, Ambreen Mushtaq, Dr.Nilofar, Naseer Ahmad Rather, Mir Intikhab, Dr.Parvaiz Maqbool, Farooq wagoori, Saman Lateef, friends, admirers and other neares and dears. Rather said that he along whole employees fraternity of JK pray for the departed soul to rest him in janneh and for courage to bereaved family to bear this unbereable loss(KNS).
