Mehbooba breaking records of her predecessors: Mirwaiz

Srinagar, Dec 22 (KNS): Authorities today disallowed the Friday congregational prayers at the historic Jamia Masjid in Nowhatta area of old city here.
Amid restrictions, the authorities bared people to offer the Friday prayers at the historic Jamia Masjid for the third consecutive week today.
All the four of the gates of the Jamia Masjid remained closed for the fourth straight week today,” local sources said.
Meanwhile, the head cleric of Jamia Masjid and Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was placed under house detention on Thursday evening following the protest call given by the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Mirwaiz said that the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is breaking the record of her predecessors by disallowing Muslims from offering Friday prayers and imposing restrictions in old city.
“18th Friday of this year #JamaMasjid locked down once again by the Anti Muslim ruling regime. @MehboobaMufti following the path, rather breaking the record of her predecessors by disallowing Muslims from offering Friday prayers and imposing restrictions in #ShareKhaas!,” he wrote on twitter.
