Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Executive Engineer Er. Hakeem Zahoor Ahmed said that Ab Rehman Sofi had earned the respect of everyone through his dedication and simple nature. “He always performed his responsibilities with sincerity and remained committed to his work. His experience and positive attitude have been a strength for the department. We wish him good health and happiness in his retired life,” he said.

He said that retirement is the beginning of a new chapter in life. "Ab Rehman Sofi has served this department with honesty, dedication, and professionalism. His sincerity towards his duties and his respectful attitude towards colleagues have earned him immense goodwill. We thank him for his services and wish him good health, happiness, and success in the years ahead," he added.

 

 

JE Imtiyaz Ahmad said,"Ab Rehman Sofi was a person I could always rely on. Whenever I called him, even during evening hours, he was ready to take up any task and help resolve issues. What I admired most about him was his honesty—he would always clearly say whether a particular job was doable or not, without hesitation. Such sincerity, dedication, and straightforwardness are rare qualities, and I have seldom come across people like him in my career."

He remarked that he had always tried to discharge his duties with honesty, dedication, and sincerity and was grateful that his efforts were appreciated by the department.

 

Sofi said that the relationships and friendships he built during his years of service were more valuable to him than any professional achievement. He recalled learning important lessons from his seniors and colleagues, whose guidance and support helped him overcome various challenges during his career. He added that he always endeavoured to carry out every responsibility entrusted to him to the best of his ability, keeping the interests of the department and the public in mind.

 

Expressing heartfelt thanks to all officers, engineers, and staff members, Sofi said that the respect, affection, and goodwill shown to him at the farewell function would remain among the most cherished memories of his life. He noted that while he was retiring from active service, the memories, experiences, and bonds formed over the years would stay with him forever.

 

He also wished continued progress and success for the Jal Shakti Department and extended his best wishes to his colleagues in both their professional and personal lives. Deeply moved by the farewell accorded to him, Sofi conveyed his sincere gratitude to everyone for their love, support, and encouragement and prayed for good health, happiness, and prosperity for all.
