Jammu, Apr 7 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir government has placed an Executive Engineer of the Jal Shakti department under suspension with immediate effect following his detention by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), officials said.
Manzoor Ahmad Dar, the incumbent Executive Engineer of the Jal Shakti (PHE) Mechanical Division, South Awantipora, was suspended from March 28, the date of his detention by the ACB in Kashmir, according to a government order.
During the period of suspension, Dar will remain attached to the office of the Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti (PHE) Kashmir, and will be entitled to subsistence allowance as per rules, the order stated.

The action was taken based on a communication from the Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti (PHE) Kashmir, dated March 30, 2026, under Rule 31 of the J&K Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1956.
The officer will remain under suspension until further orders, the government added. (KNS)
