Srinagar, Oct 06 (KNS): Joint Action Forum Prasar Bharti on Friday organised nationwide peaceful protests wherein it demanded CGHS facilities, family pension, group insurance, and well defined promotional policy for its employees.
The nationwide peaceful protests took place in Delhi, Lucknow, Jaipur, Dehradun, Ranchi, Bhopal, Mumbai, Kargil, Rewa, Kanpur, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Chandigarh, Gorakhpur, Itanagar, Patna, Kargil, Prayagraj, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Agartala, Rohtak, Jalandhar, Bareilly. Peaceful protests were also held in Najibabad, Varanasi, Raigarh, Jhalawar, Pune, Agra, Guwahati, Gangtok, Kohima, Rampur and Shimla where PB employees demand CGHS facilities, family pension, Group Insurance & well-defined promotion policy for Prasar Bharati employees.
At the occasion hundreds of engineering, program and administrative department employees participated in the demonstration in front of Prasar Bharati headquarters in Delhi. During the demonstration, Prasar Bharati's ADG (HR) Shashikant Ji listened carefully to the demands of the employees and ADG (HR) assured them that the issue of promotion policy of Prasar Bharati employees will be resolved during the Management Committee meeting on 10th October. He also assured that the issues of medical facilities, family pension and service conditions would be resolved in the coming months.
The officials of (JAFPB) also submitted a memorandum regarding their demands to the Chief Executive Officer, Prasar Bharati. CEO Will further call the officials of the Joint Action Forum (JAFPB) for a meeting.
"We will decide our future strategy considering the next step of Prasar Bharati on our demands", said JAFPB.(KNS)
