Srinagar, Mar 19 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council has reportedly floated the tender norms for Khelo India event recently held in Gulmarg amid COVID-19 scare.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), it has been learnt that J&K State Sports Council had brazenly violated the norms for publishing of tenders on official websites and print and electronic media.
"The tender notice was neither published in departments website not it was disseminated on a specified web particularly meant for tenders", documents in possession of KNS revealed.
It also said, "There had been a huge negligence by concern officials who failed to circulate the tender through local print media in order to get attention from more agencies".
According to reports, the tender notice for inviting bids was repeated but still department failed to upload the notice on websites.
There were only five agencies who were succeeded in submitting their bids.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThese include CP Advertisers, Space Communications, Kash Movie Tone, Color Curve Advertisers and Kamran Advertising Agency.
According to documents, all five agencies were asked to report on March 2, at 11:30 am at office chambers but surprisingly two of the agencies namely Kash Movie Tone and Color Curve Advertisers were being called on 10:00 am on the same day. As per documents, officials of the J&K Sports Council shared details of other agencies with the duo brazenly and violated the norms set for tenders by the government.
Finally at 11:30 when every participant entered into the chamber, they were told that tender has been granted to Color Curve Advertisers because of lowest bid.
When KNS contacted Sarmad Hafeez, he denied any fraud in the process. He said the department took every required step and followed the official protocal effectively. (KNS)
