J&K Sales Executives on Strike Today Over Incentive Cuts

Srinagar, Apr 6 (KNS): Sales executives across the automobile sector in Jammu and Kashmir will observe a complete shutdown today in protest against the alleged discontinuation and reduction of incentive structures by the Jammu & Kashmir Bank and various dealerships, an official statement said.

The decision has been taken under the banner of the Kashmir Auto Federation, which claims to represent the collective voice of sales professionals across the region, the statement added.

According to federation representatives, incentives linked to vehicle financing and loan processing – described as an essential component of sales executives’ earnings – have been significantly reduced or entirely withdrawn in recent months, placing considerable financial strain on individuals working in the sector.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

“In light of these concerns, it has been decided that all automobile showrooms and sales operations will remain closed today on April 7, 2026, as a mark of protest,” the federation said in the statement.

The Kashmir Auto Federation has strongly urged the concerned authorities and dealership management to address the issues on priority and restore a fair and transparent incentive structure.

The federation further cautioned that failure to resolve the matter may result in the continuation or escalation of protest actions. “United we stand for our rights and dignity,” the statement added. (KNS)
