Bandipora, Jan 8 (KNS): A joint security review meeting was held here on Thursday ahead of Republic Day 2026 to finalise security arrangements across the district.
The meeting, chaired by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ajaz Ahmed Zargar, JKPS, at the District Police Lines (DPL), was attended by commanding officers of 3rd and 45 Battalion CRPF, 13 and 14 Rashtriya Rifles, 27 Assam Rifles, and officials from other security agencies, along with senior district police officers.
During the deliberations, officers discussed the prevailing security situation and focused on deployment plans, securing sensitive locations, intelligence sharing, and coordination among all forces in the district.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
SSP Zargar emphasised the need for heightened alertness, intensified area domination, and seamless synergy among all stakeholders to ensure peaceful and smooth conduct of Republic Day events.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of collective commitment by all participating agencies to maintain robust security and uphold public safety during the celebrations.(KNS).
