Jammu, July 08(KNS): An ITBP officer on Friday shot himself dead with his service weapon on duty in Poonch district of Jammu region.
A senior police officer told Kashmir news service (KNS), that the officer identified as Prem Chand, who was posted as Assistant Sub-Inspector of Indo-Tibetian Border Police (ITBP), shot himself at Mini-secretariat in the Poonch district.
However he was rushed to hospital where he was declared brought dead, he said, adding that police have registered a case under relevant sections of laws has been registered.(KNS).
