Ishfaq Jabbar calls on LG Manoj Sinha

Srinagar June 2(KNS): Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar Patron jabbar Foundation and former MLA Ganderbal called on the Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha at the Raj Bhavan here today.

 
Jabbar apprised the Lt Governor about various issues of public importance of the UT and of Ganderbal area. In a statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that Jabbar had a detailed interaction with the Lt Governor and projected several demands and issues. 
 
Mr Jabbar said as the security scenario has improved, and the Yatris must be allowed to visit other tourist destinations in the district like Sonamarg, Mata Kheer Bhawani, Manasbal, Naranag, etc. so that a friendly  environment with acculturation is achieved and employment is raised. A good number of Yatris enroute through Foreshore and toilets / mobile toilets from Nagbal to Baltal may be ensured alongwith proper treatment for disposal of solid waste. He offered suggestions for the more effective involvement of locals in the organization of the annual Amarnath Yatra.He demanded that health centre enroute yatra should be strengthened.
 
Sheikh demanded implementation of Ladli Beti Scheme in the district. Jabbar also called for ensuring monthly allowances (Stipend)  in favour of Educated and unemployed youth as they are being caught in social evils like drug addiction, etc.
 
He also demanded implementation of Minimum Wage Act and regularization of Casual Labourers, Contractual, Adhoc, Need Base and Daily Wagres. He further demanded Waiver off of pending electric dues in favour of BPL / AAY categories. Sheikh also bring into the notice of Lt Governor the issues pertaining to Haj Pilgrims. He said that the Haj remained most expensive in the JKUT ever. There must be some financial relaxation for the pilgrims.
 
Jabbar also raised different demands of Ganderbal district which include Sanctioning of Veterinary University in Ganderbal , Ensuring Availability of Rice, Atta and Sugar at Government Depot and Fair Price Shops,  Four Lanning/ Fly-Over from Pandach to Wayil, Sanctioning / Establishment of Munsif Court and Fire Service stations in diffferent areas of district Ganderbal. Jabbar raised the different demands of Unani College Nawabagh which include construction of boys and girls hostel , accommodation for medical and para medical staff, sanctioning of 03 no. of busses for students, fully equipped ambulance etc.
 
The Lt Governor assured him that he will take up the genuine issues and demands projected by him for examination and their early redressal and urged him to continue his endeavours for the growth and advancement of his area, on all fronts. “We are determined to ensure the equitable and fast-paced development of J&K and the growth and prosperity of its people,” he said.(KNS).
