IRS (IT) officers of 2016 batch promoted to Joint Commissioners

Srinagar, Dec 31(KNS) : Two Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) officers of the 2016 batch from Jammu and Kashmir have been promoted to the rank of Joint Commissioner, the Ministry of Finance announced on wednesday.

Syed Junaid Aadil, currently Deputy Director of Income Tax (Investigation), Kashmir, and Shakil Ahmad Ganie, Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax, Kashmir, have both been elevated to the new post, officials said. The promotion is expected to assign them greater responsibilities in tax administration and oversight.

Syed Junaid Aadil, a Srinagar native, completed his education at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Srinagar, before joining the IRS. After training at the National Academy of Direct Taxes (NADT), Nagpur, he was posted in Delhi, where he handled assignments in the International Taxation vertical.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe has also held multiple key positions and received recognition for his contributions to the Revenue.

Shakil Ahmad Ganie, from Ganderbal district, studied at Kashmir University and has served in various capacities across the North-West region, including the investigation wings in Srinagar, Jalandhar, and Jammu. In the past two years, he has overseen the jurisdictional charge of Srinagar Income Tax offices, handling responsibilities with professionalism, officials said.

The promotion orders were welcomed by colleagues in local central government offices, who celebrated the achievement on the eve of the New Year.(KNS)
