Locals Appeal for Immediate Restoration Amid Marriage Season

Srinagar, Sep 02 (KNS) : The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) spokesperson Iqbal tramboo has expressed strong concern over the acute water shortage crippling several Srinagar localities, including Bagh-i-Mehtab, Chanapora, Lone Mohallah, Lal Nagar, Natipora, Budshah Nagar, and Kanihama.

In a statement issued, Tramboo lambasted the NC-led government, accusing it of complete negligence towards people’s basic needs. “The failure of the administration to ensure uninterrupted water supply reflects sheer insensitivity. PDP leader said Residents reported immense hardships in carrying out daily chores and preparing for weddings without access to water. They urged the Jal Shakti Department and district administration to immediately deploy water tankers and restore regular supply.

“If the issue is not resolved without delay, we will be compelled to stage protests,” warned locals, holding the administration responsible for their suffering.

The affected areas continue to await relief as officials remain silent on the cause of disruption and the expected timeline for restoration.(KNS)
