Srinagar Feburay 08: (KNS) Director Horticulture, Kashmir Mr. Ajaz Ahmad Bhat (KAS), visited IGC Lassipora, Pulwama, today. He was accompanied by Chief Horticulture Officer, Pulwama and other officers of the Department.
 During the visit, Director Horticulture inspected various CA store Units and took stock of the functioning of the units. He informed the entrepreneurs to invest in this sector for harnessing the potential benefits for growth and employment generation in this regard. Further, he informed all the interested budding entrepreneurs to invest in the Horticulture sector for creation/establishment of various   prospective industrial units in this regard so as to facilitate the stakeholders particularly the farming community with the utilization of raw material produced and its value addition for earning better livelihood through this sector. 
Director informed that there is no dearth of necessary provision of funds for establishment of such units with the support of Government of Indi and Union Territory.
Chief Horticulture Officer was directed to ensure the awareness among growers through different mediums related to benefits under the newly launched Schemes viz. “Operation Greens- Top to Total” and PM Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PM FME) as a part of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ and registration process in this regard be taken up on war footing basis.(KNS)
