Srinagar, Mar 07 (KNS): Tosa Maidan Bachav Front (TBF) a body that struggled and ensured to vacate firing range from Tosa Maidan meadow had pressed government for a set of demands in the rehabilitation process of the Tosa Maidan meadow and the adjacent affected villages, along with School for Rural Development and Environment.
One major demand has always been to compensate the widows of killed, and disabled due to firing army practices but to no use. Earlier a petition was moved to the Budgam Deputy Commissioner’s office on 09-May-2016, till date the compensation was not paid to the concerned. Two major decisions have since been taken in favor of Tosa Maidan which were part of SRDE & TBF advocacy which include, Tosa Maidan to be developed as Community-based adventure and rural tourism destination and approval of an independent development authority for Tosa Maidan. While the very vital factor and demand that of providing compensation to the widows and injured and community compensation has been ignored pertinently.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
