Srinagar May 01 (KNS): International Labour Day was celebrated with zeal and reverence at various locations across Ganderbal district today, recognizing and honouring the dedication and contribution of the working class.
The Labour Department Ganderbal led the celebrations with active participation in field-level programmes held at key project sites.
Assistant Labour Commissioner Ganderbal, Ms. Hafsa Qayoom, accompanied by Labour Officer Shri Abdul Hamid Akhoon and a team of Labour Inspector Nazir Ahmad took part in special events conducted at the Sonamarg Tunnel and MEIL Tunnel sites. In addition to official programmes, educational institutions across Ganderbal also observed the occasion. Numerous schools organized special functions dedicated to acknowledging the efforts of workers. These school-level celebrations served to instill values of appreciation and respect for workers among the younger generation.
