Interfaith dialogue on ‘concept of fasting’ held in Budgam

Srinagar March 20 (KNS): Anjuman Interfaith Dialogue Chapter organised Roundtable Discussion on theme “ Concept of Fasting in all the religions” in Hozeh Jamia Babul Ilem Oriental Collage of Learning Mirgund Budgam .


The religious Scholars  who spoke at the Roundtable shared their insights on how the meaning of fasting can build a strong society. They spoke Fasting being the essential part of religions and how it can help to overcome the challenges we face as a society. 
 
The participants in the Roundtable discussion resolved to remain committed to the teachings of fasting in respective religions be it according to Islam,Christianity, Hinduism and Buddhism and will  work together to promote essence of fasting in order to make healthy peaceful and inclusive society.
 
Those who participated in the Dialogue included Founder Chairman of anjuman Interfaith Dialogue Chapter and President Jammu and kashmir Anjuman Sharie Shian Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al-Safavi , Moulana Syed Hussain ( Principal Hozeh Jamia Babul Ilem Oriental Collage) Moulana Syed Yousuf ( Senior Faculty Member, Hozeh Jamia Babul Ilem Oriental Collage) Moulana Nisar Ahmed (Hozeh Jamia Babul Ilem Oriental Collage) Miss Stanzin Angmo ( gave Buddhist perspective) Ravinder Pandita Chairman Save Sharda Committee( Gave Hindu Perspective of Fasting )  Philpus John, Paster Paul ( have Christian perspective of Fasting) .
 
Resident Representative to Aga Syed Hassan on Interfaith Dialogue Aga Syed Muntazir gave welcome address and explained the aim and objective of the Discussion . Towfeeq Mailk moderated the discussion Mailk.(KNS)
