Describing the present atmosphere of unrest in the State as most unfortunate and disturbing, JK PCC Chief G.A. Mir has cautioned the people against the dangerous politics of exploitation aiming to disturb the socio economic set up and secular fabric of the State.
According to a statement issued to KNS, asserting that Congress Party would not allow anyone to play with the sentiments of people by communalizing the situation, he said that the approach of Modi led Govt towards J&K State is full of contradictions, JK PCC Chief this said while addressing a day long convention of Party Workers from Homeshalibug (Kulgam) at Dak Bunglow Khanabal today.
JK PCC Chief hit out at Modi led Govt at Centre for mishandling of J&K situation which has posed a great threat to security and integrity of the State. Accusing the Centre Govt for failing to address urges and aspiration of the people, he said Centre Govt led by Narinder Modi is directly responsible for present mess chaos and vitiated atmosphere in the state, he said.
Taking strong exception to the contradictions in the approach of Centre and State Govt toward Jammu and Kashmir State and expressing serious concern over the politics of exploitation of regional and religious sentiments. He said that it has pushed the state on the path of mistrust and destruction. Cautioning the people about the divisive force, Mir exhorted the Congress Cadres and other secular forces to defeat such designs and work for strengthening brotherhood and strengthening the unity and integrity of the State.
Mir emphasized that Congress Party has to play a vital unifying role, like in the past, being a secular progressive force having the faith of people of different sections, communities and regions in its policies and programmes aimed at uniting the people of the State and the Country, Mir said that welfare and economic development of the people cannot be achieved without conductive atmosphere of harmony and peace in the State. Efforts are being made to divide the people Regional Lines; but he felt confident that Congress Party would defeat such intentions and would work about bringing the people out of the mess created due to wrong policies of Centre and State Govt, JK PCC Chief said.

JK PCC Chief exhorted the Party workers to remain steadfast in the service of the people and identifying the issues confronting people for their resolution. He said Congress party has always advocated and remained committed for the equitable development of the people in all the three regions and due respect to the urges and aspiration of the people of three regions which is paramount to strengthen the unity and
Integrity of the State, he said.
Speaking on the occasion Peerzada Mohd. Syed said that Congress Party has always served the people to the best of its ability and have never believed or indulged in region or religion politics. He said Congress party have always advocated and committed for equal development of all the three regions of the state and won’t allow anyone to disintegrate the state to benefit themselves. Peerzada urged the party carders to remain vigilant and defeat those forces who want to disintegrate the state and divide the people on various lines.
Addressing the gathering Former Minister Taj Mohi U Din castigated both PDP and BJP for trying to curb opponents’ one one pretext or the other, not only political opponents, but those who raise their head against the anti people policies of the Centre and State Govts. He (Taj Mohi U Din) assured the people that Congress Party is committed about welfare and development of the State and people.
MLA & Vice President Haji Abdul Rashid Dar while addressing the gathering said that Congress Party is a vibrant situation in all the three regions, he expressed confidence that Congress Party would defeat any move aiming to affected the Secular Fabric of the State.
