Srinagar Oct 21 (KNS): The condition of the youth, Naseer Ahmad Dar, who was critically injured by a teargas canister fired by police and paramilitary forces in Anantnag is “better”, SKIMS authorities said on Thursday.
“Naseer Ahmad’s condition is better now. We have shifted him to a ward,” Medical Superintendent Dr Farooq Jan told KNS.
Dr Jan said that the youth has received injury in his head. “Doctors have operated on him.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe was kept on ventilator for some time and after his condition stablised, he was shifted to a ward,” he said.
Dar was seriously injured on Wednesday after being hit by a tear gas shell fired by police and paramilitary forces on the youth who were protesting the death of Zahid Rasool. Rasool, a truck driver, died in a Delhi hospital after receiving serious burn injuries in a petrol-bomb attack by Hindu fanatics at Udhampur. (KNS)
