Srinagar, Sep 30 (KNS): The inhabitants of Kralpora Chadora Srinagar Wednesday alleged favouritism by the PDP government over the macdamization of the roads in the area.
Speaking over phone with KNS the inhabitants of Kralpora alleged that they have been the worst victims of the present government’s policy of favouritism.
They alleged that their present representative in the assembly seems more concerned about his party politics rather than focusing on the hapless people of the area who had given him mandate to mitigate their sufferings.
They said that the recent example of the favouritism is the macdamization of the road leading to one of the PDP Surpanch’s home who is also relative of the MLA. “Major roads of our area are in dilapidated conditions but it took us to the surprise on Tuesday when road leading to the PDP Surpanch’s home was macdamized,” one of the local resident of the Karlpora told KNS.
He alleged that around four lakh rupees have been utilized for the construction of this road.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“When we protested against this move and demanded the macdamization of other roads the officials of the R&B department who were present there asserted that they have got special directions from the government about the macdamization of this road only,” they alleged.
When KNS contacted concerned Executive Engineer Hashim Din he admitted that they have macadamized the road leading to the house of the Surpanch. “I am not fully aware about the details of this matter but yes I can say you that the road leading to the Surpach’s house was macdamizsed yesterday,” he said, but refused to give the further details.
When KNS contacted R&B Minister Altaf Bukhari he said that there is no question of favouritism in the PDP government. “We are committed for all the people of Jammu and Kashmir. I assure the people of this area that all roads will be macadamized soon,” he said. (KNS)
