Indian Army Organises 'Rubaru' Event in Budgam to Combat Drug Menace, Empower Youth

 Budgam, Aug 21 (KNS) : In a significant initiative aimed at eradicating the drug menace and empowering women through employment and skill development, the Indian Army's 62 Rashtriya Rifles (Budgam), in collaboration with the Qim Care Foundation and Government Degree College Budgam, organized the 'Rubaru' event at the Sheikh Ul Aalam Memorial Degree College.

 
The day-long seminar witnessed the participation of various line departments, including Education, Social Welfare, Health, District Youth Services and Sports, and the Jammu and Kashmir Police. The event served as a platform to deliberate on crucial issues affecting society and to guide the youth towards a constructive path.

He urged students to make informed decisions about their professions and to explore various platforms before choosing their career paths. He also elaborated on various Central Sponsored Schemes, encouraging students to avail these benefits, noting that many youths have transitioned from being job seekers to job providers by leveraging these opportunities.
 
The event saw an overwhelming participation from the students of Sheikh-ul-Aalam Memorial Degree College, who interacted with resource persons from various departments. The students and faculty lauded the efforts of the 62 Rashtriya Rifles for organizing such events, marking the Indian Army's role as a major contributor to the holistic development of society.
