Indian Army Extends a Healing Hand to Bandipora's Remote Areas

Bandipora, Feb 16 (KNS) : In an effort to provide healthcare access to remote areas, the Indian Army organised a free medical camp in Kulhama village in the Bandipora district.

The camp, conducted by the Rashtriya Rifles (RR) under the aegis of the Manasbal Sector, aimed to address the healthcare needs of the underprivileged residents of the area.

Officials stated that a medical team, comprising a Lady Doctor from the Army and a physician from the District Hospital Bandipora, attended to a large number of patients. The team provided general health check-ups, blood pressure screenings, and distributed free medicines to those in need.

Residents, particularly the elderly, women, and children, availed themselves of the medical facilities.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe initiative was intended to bridge the healthcare gap for villagers who often face difficulties in accessing qualified medical professionals due to geographical constraints.

Local inhabitants expressed their gratitude for the initiative. "Such initiatives are a bridge between us and the forces. They understand our struggles and come forward to help," a villager said.

The Army noted that the camp also included informative sessions on hygiene and preventive healthcare. Officials described the effort as a step towards fostering goodwill and strengthening the bond between the armed forces and the local community. (KNS)
