Asks both countries not to make JK as battle field

Srinagar, Jan 03 (KNS): Senior Hurriyat leader and Chairman of Kashmir Peoples Party (KPP), Dr G M Hubi has said that the neighboring countries including India and Pakistan have made our dividing line as battle field.
Hubi while speaking in a seminar titled “India and Pakistan Relations”, which was organized by Nature Human-Sentric Peoples Movement at Sambha Jammu, said that “both the countries have made our dividing line as battle field as on the both sides people are suffering, our peasants and school going children are being displaced.”
“Tons of iron and explosive is being pumped into mountains of both sides of LOC. None is taking care of our sufferings. India and Pakistan have to settle so many issues like water, Siachan, Sircreek etc. We are being used as cannon fodder,” he said as per the statement issued to KNS.
He said that it is India, which has taken issue to the UN. “We remember only one resolution i.e Right to self-determination. This resolution is also subject to the withdrawal of troops of Pakistan from POK.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelPeople of the state need education regarding UN resolutions,” he said, adding that UN is a ‘toothless’ organization, which only safeguards the interests of countries which manufacture weapons of destruction and India and Pakistan have become best outlets.
“War will never take place between these two countries because both are atomic powers,” he said.
Dr Hubi in his speech has suggested both the countries “not to make JK as a battle field. If you have to settle scores by war, you have thousands of miles of international border, which you can use for the war.”
He also requested common people of India and Pakistan to understand political gamins of politicians and vested interests, they must think on positive lines and must persuade their respective governments to leave hatred aside and solve Kashmir dispute which will be in the interests of common people.
