Indian Forces Remain Vigilant as Pakistan Reopens Airspace


New Delhi/Islamabad May 10 (KNS):  In a significant diplomatic development, India and Pakistan have agreed to a ceasefire without any preconditions. According to sources in India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the call for the ceasefire was initiated from the Pakistani side. As part of the current understanding, the Indus Water Treaty will remain in abeyance.

US Vice President JD Vance acknowledged the breakthrough in a tweet, stating, “My gratitude to the leaders of India and Pakistan for their hard work and willingness to engage in this ceasefire.”

Reinforcing the government's position, Commodore Raghu R Nair said the Indian Armed Forces remain fully prepared and vigilant. “Every misadventure by Pakistan has been met with strength. Every future escalation will invite a decisive response. We are fully operationally ready to launch whatever operations may be required in defence of the nation,” he said.

Following the announcement of the ceasefire by US President Donald Trump, Pakistan’s Airports Authority (PAA) issued a statement confirming that the country's airspace has been fully reopened for all types of flights. (KNS)
