SRINAGAR December 24 (KNS): Ali Mohammed husband of an independent DDC candidate Ms Rizwana Akthar from Harvan Barji of district Srinagar alongwith other political activists, on Thursday joined People's Conference at the residence of Party's General Secretary, Imran Ansari

 
According to Kashmir News service (KNS), Hailing from the Harvan Barji block Ms. Rizwana Akthar who won Barji territorial constituency in recent District Development Council elections.
Ali Mohammed, while interacting with Kashmir News Service, said, that earlier when these DDC elections were announced, I went to the National conference and asked for the mandate, but i was not given the same. Later we decided to contest as an independent candidate. I received an overwhelming response from people and wins Barji Harvan territorial constituency with a huge margin, he said.
Today I decided to join PC, because this is only party I can trust. They represent people, and I'm hopeful that I will get full support from the party for the welfare and development of my people, he added.

The joining ceremony took place in presence of the Party General Secretary, Imran Ansari at his residence.
