Srinagar, Oct 15 (KNS): Incarcerated Hurriyat (G) and Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) senior leader Peer Saifullah is undergoing treatment at SKIMS Soura from past 45 days.
Family sources said that he was lodged in police station Humhama for several weeks.
“He was first denied the medical treatment. He is suffering from tumor. It was only after his health deterioration that he was shifted to district Hospital Budgam,” said family members.
They added that thereafter, he was referred to SKIMS, where he is presently undergoing treatment.
Notably, Saifullah who is suffering from tumor was earlier treated at New Delhi.
They expressed concern over the health condition of Saifullah.
Meanwhile, the separatist leaders including Hurriyat (M) chairman, Mirwaiz Molvi Umar Farooq, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) chief, Shabir Ahmad Shah, Hurriyat (G) spokesman, Ayaz Akbar, Mehraj-ud-din Kalwal, Imtiyaz Haider, Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Ghulam Nabi Zaki, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Showkat Bakhshi, Zaffar Akbar Bhat, Muhammad Rafiq Ganie and others continue to languish in different jails from past several weeks.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Hurriyat (M) chairman is lodged at Chesma Shahi Sub Jail, JKLF chief who was detained on July 9 is lodged at Srinagar’s central Jail while DFP chief, who was also detained by the police and continue to languish in Police Station Raj Bagh while the several other leaders and activists who were detained ever since July 9 are languishing in different police stations across the Valley.
However, authorities slapped PSA on several separatist leaders and activists and shifted them to Kot Bolwal Jail in Jammu.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani, Hurriyat (G) General Secretary, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, Hurriyat (M) media advisor Shahid-ul-Islam, Anjuman Shari Shian president, Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi and DPM chief, Muhammad Shafi Reshi continue to remain under house detention. (KNS)
