Srinagar, Sep 04(KNS): The Public Works Department, in a significant move to improve the quality of life for the residents of Mawer, Handwara, has answered the long-pending demand of the local population by inaugurating a sub-division office in Qalamabad. The  event was marked by the presence of several dignitaries, including DDC Mawer, Khursheed Ahmad Dar, and BDC Mawer, Tahir Ahmad Mir.

The inauguration ceremony witnessed the participation of numerous officials, including S.E. Suahil Ahmed Malik, Ex-Engineer Farooq Ahmad Shah,AEE Mudasir Ahmad, A.E. Zubair Ahmad Bhat, and J.E. Mohd Yasir Quarshi, highlighting the significance of this milestone for the region.

For the people of Qalamabad, this momentous occasion represents the realization of a longstanding aspiration. Their persistent demand for a sub-division office has now come to fruition, promising a brighter future for the people. One of the primary expectations is the swift macadamization of the roads in the area, a crucial development that is anticipated to enhance connectivity and accessibility for residents.

DDC Mawer, Khursheed Ahmad Dar, expressed his gratitude to the Public Works Department for heeding the people's call. He emphasized that the new sub-division office would play a pivotal role in addressing local infrastructure needs and improving the overall quality of life in Mawer.

BDC Mawer, Tahir Ahmad Mir, echoed these sentiments, stating that the inauguration marked a moment of triumph for the people of Qalamabad. He assured residents that their aspirations for better road infrastructure would be a top priority for the newly established sub-division office.
