Srinagar, 16 July (KNS) : Two unidentified militants have been killed in an encounter that broke out between militants and security forces in Alamdar colony, Syedpora Srinagar, Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar said that 78 militants were killed this year so far in the valley .

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar wrote through a tweet on official twitter handle of Police "Kashmir Zone Police" that with today’s operation, 78 militants have been killed this year so far in various encounters. Most of the militants were affiliated with prescribed of militant outfit, 39 out of 78 belonged to LeT followed by HM, Al-Badr, JeM and AuGH.(KNS)
