Bandipora, Jan 03 (KNS): Despite the tall claims of the authorities in taking strict action against encroachers, the footpath in Bandipora market has been allegedly being illegally occupied by the shopkeepers and Vendors.
The street vendors and shopkeepers are seen occupying footpaths in Nowpora, Main Town Bandipora and other areas of Bandipora Town.
Pedestrians expressed frustration and Resentment over the sufferings and blamed Administration and Municipal Committee Bandipora for their indifference and Failure to the situation. Shopkeepers and vendors selling garments, fruits, Goods, vegetables, and footwear occupy a major chunk on footpaths, Municipal Committee Bandipora has failed to remove encroachment from the footpaths and road.
There is no space to walk on the road as all the shopkeepers have displayed their goods on footpaths and the rest of the space was captured by vendors in whole Bandipora Market, A local Of Plan Bandipora said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The shopkeepers in every nook and corner of Bandipora Town display most of their Goods on front portion of the shops occupying the footpath, Another local said wishing Anonymity, added that Neither Administration nor Municipal Committee Bandipora take cognizance in this Regard.
Scores of Pedestrians said that administration seem to be in deep slumber, as no action has been taken against the Shopkeepers who had Occupied Whole Footpath, which causing great inconvenience to the commuters.
Pedestrians appeal to the District Administration and Municipal Committee Bandipora to take Necessary action about this matter.
