Srinagar, April 22 (KNS): Gandola, a cable car project, in famous ski resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district was kept open for tourists today on the occasion of Eid.
Managing director Cable Car Corporation, Ghulam Jeelan Zargar told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that as a welcome gesture towards tourists, Gulmarg Gondola was kept open on Eid day for the first time in history.
He said that many tourists would get disappointed as they would not get the tickets in view of the heavy rush and unexpected demand.
“The management under the guidance of secretary tourism Abid Rasheed Shah decided to keep the Gondola open even on Eid day. Full day commercial operations were conducted accordingly,” he said. (KNS)
