Srinagar, Mar 01 (KNS): Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Srinagar, Imtiyaz Ismail Parray accompanied by Sargun Shukla-IPS SSP Traffic City Srinagar, Sajjad Ahmad-KPS Addl. SP Traffic City, Muhammad Nasir Khan Dy SP (T) North and Sandeep Kour Dy SP (T) South City Wednesday flagged off a squad of Motor Bikes from Traffic Police Office City Srinagar.
According to the statement issued to KNS, the officials said that these Motor Cycle squads would act as reinforcers primarily for the purpose of traffic regulation. “The endeavor is to be able to ensure continuous plying and no impediments in the City jurisdiction,” the officials said.
They said that since there are multiple developmental projects going on in City Srinagar, there is limited road availability. “The traffic department is committed to and focused on regulating the traffic on these roads as best as possible facilitating the public,” they said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The statement reads that the QRT Bikes are fitted with public address system (PAS) to be able to address public and ensure swift removal of traffic hindrance. “These QRTs would also accompany and pave way for hospital referrals and fire tenders along traffic sensitive areas who should co-ordinate with the traffic department for better regulation and results,” they said.
General Public is advised to provide all possible co-operation to QRTs which will remain mobile to ensure smooth flow of traffic in high density areas and follow the directives and help maintain traffic discipline.
The SSP Srinagar wished the traffic department best and assured all possible help, support and feedback in the common aim of amelioration of systematic movement in City Srinagar.
The general public lauded this initiative and hoped that it is sustained and in time increased. (KNS)
