Srinagar, Mar 15 (KNS): Senior Politician and influential Shia leader Imran Raza Ansari today resigned from the post of General Secretary People's Conference.
He confirmed his resignation to KNS. However he has not resigned from the party membership of People's Conference led by former Minister Sajad Gani Lone.
On November 28 , Imran Ansari joined People's Conference after leaving PDP.

Ansari took to microblogging site Twitter also to announce his decesion, "As our Party @JKPC_ is growing and lots of leaders have started joining this caravan of change I am requesting my party President @sajadlone to accept my resignation from post of General  Secretary effective today." (KNS)
