Imran Ansari presides over AJKSA meeting in Srinagar 

Srinagar, Aug 08 (KNS): The All J&K Shia Association Srinagar unit on Sunday held at Darul-Jawad (Qamarwari) under the leadership of Maulana Imran Reza Ansari (President AJKSA) and Abid Hussain Ansari (General Secretary AJKSA). The meeting was attended by some notable members of Shia Association from all over Srinagar.

In a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS) a spokesperson said that Imran Reza Ansari threw some light on the significance of Muharram and the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (as) and his kinsmen. 

Molvi Imran Reza Ansari stated that Ashura remains for all eternity, a defining moment in the history of Islam and the love for Imam Hussain (as) and the martyrs of Karbala still etches in the hearts of all the Muslims. 

Molvi Imran Reza Ansari advised all the members to ensure stringent implementation of SOP’s in the Muharram Majlises and processions in Srinagar due to a possible spread of Delta  B.1.617.2 variant, a SARS-CoV-2 mutation. 

“With the start of 3rd Coronavirus pandemic wave across India and a warning by the medical experts that the coming 100 days are vital to contain the present Covid-19 situation, he requested everyone to be cautious.”

He further added that he firmly desires to take out the 10th Muharram grand procession from Abiguzar but the final decision for the route lies in the hand’s of the District Administration and his organisation will follow the steps advised by them for the safety of the people.

In the meeting Maulana Ansari advised all the members to educate the people of their respective areas not to take this virus lightly and obey the advice given by the competent medical experts i.e to vaccinate, wear double masks, maintain social distancing, wash hands with water and soap/sanitiser, and to avoid any crowded place.

In the end, Ansari prayed for the safety of all the Muslims across the globe and emphasised on the importance of unity among Muslims to keep the enemies at bay. (KNS)
