NYC state association hold a state level meeting under the chairmanship of NYC State President Asif Ali Bhat here Thursday in Srinagar. The main agenda of the meeting remain the future of 6000nyc youth on the one hand, and the poor response of Jammu and Kashmir government on implementation of cabinet decision and government order on the other. After a thread bare discussion with different representatives, NYC state association reached the conclusion to come on road as the 6000 nyc youth are still holding their hands over hand and are in a wait of joining from last ten months even after cabinet decision and govt. order .
In a statement to KNS, while interacting Asif Ali Bhat told that we were deployed in 2010 under scheme National Youth Corps (NYC) in state government departments but after 2012 we got no formal communication for onward regarding our future till cabinet decision 2014. Then we put our demands in front of government to continue our service under such a policy by which our future can be secure.
Hence keeping in consideration the genuineness of the issue Jammu and Kashmir government vide its cabinet decision no 192/CIR/2014 dated 22-10-2014 and secretary education vide order no. 737-EDU of 2014 engage we 6000 NYC youth as a contingent workers in school education department against the vacancies which is created in newly 800 upgraded school of state.
But it remain unfortunate that we are still insufficient to get formal order of engagement as the government decision and order are of more than ten months and there is still nothing in our hands by which our future can be secure.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelWe are suffering from last several years, and are without any pay after November 2012. And today all the 6000 NYC youth of state are waiting for joining order from last several months. We were expecting something better than that of earlier, from ruling government. But it is totally unfortunate that they are even insufficient to implement earlier order. They are not at par with the expectation of NYC youth.
Bhat also said lawlessness of Jammu and Kashmir government in implementing cabinet decision and govt. order no long bearable. We have already given more than that of sufficient time to look into the matter. Whereas all the concern authorities told we person wait and wait till today. But government wait & wait policy is not going to be end from last couple of months. And we are once again forced to go on hunger strike which will commence from 1st September 2015.
The association also appealed from civil societies, youth organization NGO’s to support us.
