Urges Govt. to address apprehensions of FAA aspirants
Srinagar July 24 (KNS): Saying that people of Jammu and Kashmir were facing tremendous difficulties for want of an elected civilian government, Chairman People's Democratic Front PDF and former Minister Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen has urged the centre to hold assembly elections without further delay. He said, in absence of a popular government , common people are unable to get their problems and grievances redresed adequately , Hakeem Yaseen maintained while speaking at one day the party workers convention here on Sunday . He said centre should restore to the people thier constitutional right to elect thier assembly members to raise their issues in the legislature .
The convention was called to deleberate upon the prevailing socio-political position in Jammu and Kashmir with reference to the proposed assembly elections .
Maintaining that Governor's rule can in no way can be a substitute to an elected civilian government , Hakeem Yaseen said that holding of assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir at the earliest would be in the overall interests of the country and democracy .Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe said centre should immediately restore all the constitutional and democratic rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir to end alienation towards mainstream . " This was imperative to bring peace and tranquility in this strifetorn part of the country which was also a sensitive border area ," Hakeem Yaseen said adding that winning hearts and minds of the people through reconciliation and people friendly policies was the only way forward in this direction .He said hearts of the people could be won only by meeting their cherished socio political aspirations. He said center needs to rise above vested political considerations to address genuine issues of the people .
. PDF Chairman has urged the people to isolate those political parties who have repeatedly betrayed them since 1947 by compromising on thier dignity and constitutional rights to remain in power .
PDF Chairman also castigated the administration for its lackadaisical attitude towards solving problems of the people adding that FAA aspirants were crying for justice since last few weeks but no body in the government has bothered to listen to their genuine apprehensions . He has urged the government to address the grievances of the grieved FAA aspirants,. (KNS)
