Srinagar, Mar 8 (KNS): Former Agriculture Minister and President of Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN), Ghulam Hassan Mir on Tuesday said that until and unless the women of the society will not be empowered, the crime against women will continue to rise in number.
While talking to KNS in the sidelines of the function on the International Women’s day held at Hotel Grand Mumtaz, Mir said that the women of the society should be respected. “Economic empowerment should also be given to the women of our society so that they would grow respect.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said that the women should be empowered in every aspect including educationally, economically and politically.
“The illiteracy rate among the women’s, which is too high, should get eradicated as she is the key of society and needs to get well educated so that our society would automatically grow up in every aspect,” Mir said.
He said that women should get liberty so that they can shine their names among the society. (KNS)
