Sopore, Apr 20 (KNS) : Acting tough against illegal sand extractors, Police in North Kashmir's Sopore held eight persons along with sand and boats who were involved in illegal sand mining from Haritar Nallah.
An official told
Kashmir News Service (KNS) that, multiple complaints were pouring in from the Haritar village of Sopore that some vested interests are indulging in illegal practice of sand extraction.

Acting on a tip off, Police party of Police Post Puthkha headed by Inspector Sajad Ahmed conducted raids in Haritar village and held eight people along with the sand and boat's when they were found illegally extracting and loading sand from Haritar Nallah, he said.
Official said, that a case FIR No 30/2022 under relevant sections of law in this regard stands registered in Police Station Tarzoo and further investigation has been taken up.(KNS)
