Kupwara, 11 April (KNS) : In a surprise raid by Forest Protection Force K-10 Langate and Forest Division Langate on Sunday, an illegal Bandsaw mill were dismantled in Ahagam Rajwar area of Kupwara district. 

A joint team of Forest Protection Force K-10 Langate and Forest Division Langate carried out a raid on illegal Bandsaw mill at Ahagam Rajwar owned by Ghulam Rasool Dar and dismantled it on spot. 

As per official statement of which a copy lies with Kashmir News Service(KNS), a complaint was received regarding functioning of illegal bandsaw at Ahagam in violation of SRO-103 and Supreme Court orders. 

Accordingly The team was constituted consisting of Assistant Director FPF and Range officer Rajwar to verify the complaint and carry out the operation.

The police assistance was also sought to manage law and order situation and the team found Bandsaw machine operating in A zone in violation of rules and was instantly dismantled on spot and its tools and other parts were seized and taken to Seizure depot Langate, the statement further reads.(KNS)
