Srinagar, Jan 31 (KNS): The Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone, Vijay Kumar on Monday visited Sopore area in Baramulla district to conduct security and operational review meeting with senior police and army officers.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS), that IGP instructed the police personnel to generate actionable inputs and conduct anti-militancy operations along with the Army.

He said that IGP also instructed officers to take stringent action against drug peddlers in the area. 

Later, the IGP along with DIG South Kashmir and SSP Anantnag visited Hassanpora village of Anantnag to meet the family of head constable, Martyr HC Ali Mohd Ganai, who was killed in a militant attack at his home last week.

The official said that the IGP paid glowing tributes to the deceased police head contable. (KNS)
