Srinagar, Apr 15 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday clarified that separatist leader Syed Ali Geelani has not issued a strike call for tomorrow and a tweet attributing to him that called for strike has been falsely attributed to him.

Budgam police wrote on their official Twitter handle, "As per family sources of SAS Geelani, the tweet is fake and issued by someone from Pakistan. Police is taking action against those who are circulating it through social media to instigate FIR No 265/20 13 ULA(P) & 505 IPC stands registered in PS Budgam,"

IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that people are requested to carry out their normal activities in the holy month of Ramadhan and need not to pay any heed to rumours on social media.(KNS)
