If Muftis advocate for reconciliation, why was no such gesture seen in court today: Sajad Lone

Srinagar, July 15 (KNS): In an apparent reference to Rubiya Sayeed sister of PDP president, Mehbooba Mufti, identifying Yasin Malik in the court today, JKPC President Sajad Lone, said that the those who shout from rooftops advocating reconciliation with Pakistan should at least have moral courage to start from home.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Lone said that no such reconciliation gesture was seen in the court today.

He asked that if the Mufti family has all along advocated reconciliation and talks with Pakistan, why wasn’t the sentiment of reconciliation or forgiveness for a fellow Kashmiri evident in the court today.

"Those who shout from rooftops advocating reconciliation with Pakistan should at least have the moral courage to start from home. We saw no such reconciliatory gestures today. In Kashmir the gulf between words and deeds is painfully infinite. Hypocrisy institutionalised,” he said. (KNS)
