Identify, lodge FIR against miscreant tractor drivers for unauthorizedly driving into Bungus Valley: Langate Forest Deptt to Police

 
Handwara, May 11 (KNS): Forest Department Langate on Wednesday asked police to assist them in identifying a group of miscreant tractor drivers and lodge FIR against them for unauthorizedly driving in Bungus Bowl and inflicting harm to a rare ground flora.
 
On Tuesday a video had gone viral, where a group of tractors was seen entering into Bangus Valley, thereby causing damage to ecosystem that led a anger among public as they sought action against tractors drivers.
 
Taking strong note of the incident, Forest department Langate wrote a letter to Qalamabad Police station for strict action.
 
According to the letter, a copy of which lies with Kashmir News Service (KNS), as reported to this office by Block Forest Officer Forest Block Naugam that a group of tractor drivers reportedly from South area whose video has been making rounds on Facebook Page (Handwara Updates), in the name of entertainment and enjoyment during recent Eid days have unauthorisedly driven tractors in the midst of muddy turbulence of Virgin Bungus Bowl, thereby causing harm to rare medicinal and ornamental ground flora besides posing threat to their own and others life. 
 
The letter reads that the matter is being viewed seriously by the higher ups of the department as this has happened for the first time that some engine bearing vehicle has trespassed Bungus Bowl. 
 
“This act will have catastrophic impact on the ecosystem of the Bungus valley in case the same is not given serious consideration. Now, therefore, keeping in view the above, it is strongly requested to your good self to kindly put your every endeavor to identify the miscreants and lodge an FIR against them under the relevant sections of law,” it added.
